Married Male - MM3

You cross into Canada with your family and “Thank God we had all the papers,” you think, realizing this is one of the benefits of having your kind of job.  Most families do not have passports for their children and the Canadians are sticklers for documentation, “Retaliation,” you conclude.


“How far north can we go and get good accommodations?” you ask the man behind the counter in the Immigration Office.  He directs you to a map, puts a finger on the south finger of Hudson’s Bay.
James Bay,” he says, “but it’s a two day trip.  Good accommodations all the way.”

“Great,” you thank him and leave.  “We’re in great shape,” you say to everyone as your SUV goes back on the road.  The kids are amazingly quiet, but then seeing all this new wilderness is distracting them.  You wonder if they have any idea that this more than just quick vacation trip.
